FULHAM are the deadliest team in Division One.
They play the beautiful game how it's meant to be and under French manager Jean Tigana have steamrollered through all their opponents, winning seven league games on the trot.
And it will take some extra special fireworks from the Wanderers to prevent the visitors maintaining the only 100 per cent record in all four divisions.
John Collins is superb in midfield, French forward Louis Saha is scoring at a rate of more than one a game and form is so good that even former Arsenal hit man Luis Boa Morte can't get off the bench.
Quite simply, they are unstoppable.
"It is an amazing start," admitted Leo Spall, sports writer on the Evening Standard. "We are just waiting for them to slip up.
"Fulham are playing great football. The players they have got are not much different to last season but everyone looks better, fitter and stronger. They pass the ball around and are being encouraged by the manager to play from the back.
"They haven't got a big man up front so they don't just hoof it down the middle. We thought Birmingham away would be a test but it wasn't. Bolton is definitely a tough one."
Fulham have been on fire this year, except, strangely enough, against lower division teams in the Worthington Cup.
Despite winning everything in sight in Division One they lost at Northampton 1-0 in the cup first round first leg (before roaring back to win 4-1 in the second leg) and came a cropper by the same scoreline at Chesterfield in the second round first leg.
League form on the other hand has been stunning.
The opening day 2-0 win over Crewe was followed by a 3-1 victory at Birmingham then wins over Stockport, Norwich, Burnley and Notts Forest. In the middle of all that was the 5-1 home demolition of promotion hopefuls Barnsley.
Fulham average three goals a game but it's not surprising. Strike duo Barry Hayles and the prolific Saha are good enough to leave the knees of any defence trembling.
It seems it's not a matter of if Fulham get promoted, it's when. And at this rate they could have one foot in the Premiership come Christmas.
