ASTLEY Bridge police chiefs have renewed their warnings about bogus officials after another elderly woman fell victim.
The 86-year-old fell victim in Halliwell by two men, one pretending to be a gas official while the other took £3,500 in cash.
On the same afternoon, two other elderly people refused to let people they suspected as conmen into their homes.
Police want elderly people to keep their doors on the chain, look through spy holes and check identity cards before letting anyone in.
