Wolfenden hits four in Sams' super show SAMS XI stole the show in an awesome away performance at Breightmet Labour Club strolling to an easy 8-0 victory thanks to a four goal haul by last season's wonder man Wolfenden.
Grabbing the other goals for the winners were Johnston, Walkden and a brace from Ashcroft.
Also gaining maximum points on there travels were Pineapple who brushed aside Horwich Victoria 6-1, Roberts and Gorton both grabbing braces with Gornall and Lock adding the rest. Scoring the consolation for Vic was Spillman.
FC Gap maintained their unbeaten record against top side Monteraze drawing 2-2. Hit men Hutchinson and Hull striking the net for the Gap with Wall banging in a brace for Monteraze.
Carters Bridge gained an excellent three points with their 5-1 home win against White Horse. The win moved them up into second place thanks to goals from Christie 2, Horridge, Dawson, and Hands. Mulqueeney scored a consolation goal for White Horse.
Third placed Bridge had to settle for a share of the points away at Tempest in a 2-2 draw .goals coming from Turnbull and Bass with M Smith and C Pezle netting for the Arms.
In the division one action to take place Walkden maintained their 100 per cent record by cruising to a 9-5 away victory at Beaumont, Ross scoring a hat-trick with Patton bagging a brace for the unfortunate losers.
Fox & Stork gained maximum points away at Spinning Mule winning 1-0, the win also maintained their 100 per cent record from three games played.
Sitting in second place Smithills won 4-1 on home soil thanks to goals from S Dean 2, T Tyon and J Twist. Heys scored a consolation goal for Long Pull.
Cyns and Breightmet played out an eight goal thriller with both teams settling for a share of the points. Scoring for the Cyns were Jeffers 2, Moss and Jarvis with Thompson and Baines both scoring braces for Breightmet.
In the only other game to played in this division Crofters Originals gained maximum points at home to luckless Arkwrights running out 7-4 winners.
