Gatehouse grab a first success and topple league leaders IN the Pioneer League Premier Division, Gatehouse picked up their first points of the season when they beat league leaders Cheetham Arms 4-2 at Hulton Lane.
Milligan put Gatehouse in front after only eight minutes, 10 minutes later Hodgson equalised for Cheetham. After 25 minutes Gallagher put Cheetham 2-1 up, only to let the lead slip just before half time when Milligan equalised for Gatehouse.
In the second half both teams missed chances until the 70th minute of the game, when Milligan hit a 40 yard shot into the roof of the net to complete his hat-trick. Then on 85 minutes Fitton sealed all three points for Gatehouse.
King William had a tremendous home victory over Masons Arms 2-0, both goals coming in the last 15 minutes of the game. Jones and Ferendenous on target for King William.
Bulls Head and Farnworth Vets had to settle for a point each in their 2-2 draw. Dave Fashou got both goals for Bulls Head, McCafee and Council on target for Vets.
Astley Miners moved to the top of the league after their 3-2 home victory over Cattlemarket. Wayne Glynn with two, and Neil Critchley on target for Miners.
Unity Brook had an excellent away victory at Horwich RMI 2-1, Hughes and Dunne on the scoresheet for Unity Brook.
Two sent off
In Division One Hulton Lane and Samba drew 4-4 at Deane School. Hulton Lane 4-2 up at half time. In the second half Hulton Lane lost control and had two players sent off and Samba took control of the game when Price equalised for Samba.
AGD Shutters remain in top spot with a 9-3 away victory at Astley Bridge. Tim Barrow (5) and two goals each from Lomax and Rice on target for Shutters.
Britannia Inn moved into third place in Division One, with a 5-0 away victory at Dunscar. Tillot, Errington and a Burke hat-trick for Britannia.
Royal Hotel had a very good win at home to Royal Strikers.
In Division Two, Rigby Taylor remain the team to beat after their 13-0 victory against Samsons.
Faux Forest moved into second spot with a 4-1 away win against Ridgeway Rovers. Catterall and a hat-trick from Higgans on target for Forest. Power hit Ridgeway's goal.
Park Rangers had an excellent away win at Breightmet Rovers 7-1. Pick of the goals was a Williams' volley direct from a corner kick.
Great Lever beat Bolton MV 11-0 on a heavy pitch at Hulton Lane, Vasaya on target five times for Great Lever.
