Bulldogs snatch a hard-fought success IN the U8s Section A, Ladybridge Bulldogs had a narrow 2-1 home win over Westhoughton Rangers. Paris Nuttall and Adam Anwar secured the points for the Bulldogs with Jordan Leigh hitting the target for Rangers.
Bury Rangers A held early leaders Boothstown Casuals in a very entertaining 3-3 draw. Brandlesholme Warriors A had a comfortable 6-0 away win at Bolton County Raiders. Bolton Lads & Girls Club move into top spot after coming from behind to beat Maccabi Cubs 4-1.
In Section B, Simon Biggar (4), Connor Hughes and Dave Ball all scored for Farnworth Tigers in their 6-0 victory over Astley Bridge Boys.
Ladybridge Athletic held Boothstown Corinthians to a 2-2 draw and Bolton County Broncos finally got their season underway with an impressive 3-1 away victory at North Walkden. Lewis Hill, Jacob Briggs and Robert Gubbins all scored. Sam Boardman netted for Walkden.
The other Bolton County team in this section, 'Lions', also won in a 3-0 home victory over Brandlesholme Warriors B.
In Section C, Bolton County Cougars beat early leaders Oxford Grove 1-0. Bromley Cross A beat Ladybridge Crusaders 6-1 while their other team Bromley Cross B lost 6-0 at Horwich St Mary's Trojans. Daniel Boss (4), George Heaton and Jake Barker were on target for the Trojans.
Rivington Juniors beat Bury Rangers B 5-0 with goals from Matthew Fleming, Afzal Munshi, Kiran Thomson and James Houghton (2).
