ONLY one game survived the weather in the Chorley Nissan Sunday League. Royal Scot played host to Red Lion who were made to pay for missed early chances as Royal Scot gradually took control and ran out easy 5-0 winners.
Premier Division team St Bedes were at home to Blackburn side Ewood FC in the Jennings Bitter Sunday Trophy and won a physical game 6-2. Ewood lead the first division of the Blackburn league but they were no match for a strong St Bedes side.

Guardian Shield first round: Brookes Arms v Chicago Town, Oak Tree v Red Lion.
Premier Division: Withnell Utd v Royal Scot.
Division One: Adlington Ceramics v Bridge Celtic.
