DETECTIVES are hunting a man with tattoos who attacked two women during an attempted robbery.
The man struck after following his two victims, aged 22 and 29, from the Cleveland pub in Cheetham Hill.
After tracking them back to Stanley Street, Tyldesley, the man, who police believe could be called Steve, demanded money before attacking them.
The man, described as white, stocky and 5ft 8ins, with white, close-cropped hair and brown eyes, then ran off.
He had the word 'Kea' tattooed in black Celtic style writing on the inside of his right forearm. It is believed it could be the name of his daughter.
There was a two inch scar on his left arm which he said was the result of a stab wound.
He was wearing a Nike sweat shirt, black jeans, black leather boots and a thick gold neck chain.
Anyone with information about the attack, which happened just after midnight on September 29, can contact DS Jackson at Leigh CID on 0161 856 7253 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
