THESE children from St Andrew's Methodist Primary School discovered the Millennium Dome after turning detective to win the all-expenses paid trip.
Year 3 pupils from the Little Hulton primary won one of the 12 top prizes in the national competition organised by fast food giant McDonald's. St Thomas of Canterbury RC Primary on Eastbourne Grove, Bolton, also won one of the dozen day out prizes for the whole class.
Both schools faced stiff competition from 253 other primary and special schools to win the competition, designed to fit in with their lessons.
Pupils had to turn time detectives to find out about their local McDonald's outlet and surrounding area, and the Little Hulton children produced their own "Groovy Movie of Walkden".
Year 5 pupils at St Thomas of Canterbury used old-fashioned paper and pen as well as computers to produce their dossier on the Knowsley Street McDonald's.
And both classes were rewarded for all their hard work with a day out at the Dome.
Also on the picture are Mike Love, McDonald's vice-president and director of corporate affairs, and St Andrew's teachers Mr Darren Scott, Mrs Barbara Kilner and headteacher Mrs Thelma Dillon.
