POOR Judy Finnigan.
Following theThis Morning presenter's display of charms at the National TV Awards -- millions of viewers saw Judy's boobs and bra when her halter-neck dress accidentally fell down -- two questions spring to mind.
The first has to be what type of bra should a well-endowed woman be wearing under a halter-neck dress?
And the second, probably asked by the millions of women who saw Judy's flashing display, would be who would wear a white bra underneath a black dress?
We spoke to Gillian Molvey, lingerie assistant at JR Taylor at Whiteheads, for some expert advice on that most important of undergarments -- a well-fitting bra.
She said: "A good fitting bra is so very important and that means one that gives lift, support and confidence.
"We've got the Christmas party season coming up and there are lots of halter neck dresses and tops around, so the right bra is crucial.
"As for wearing a white bra underneath a black dress, we would always recommend our ladies choose either a black or flesh-coloured bra. Especially as accidents can happen -- as Judy Finnigan discovered!"
Lynn Turner, proprietor of Silk, on Chorley Old Road, says: "I saw what happened and it looked like Judy was wearing a balcony bra because she was spilling out of it.
"It did look like the bra was made from good quality lace and was possibly a French design rather than Italian.
"But because she was wearing a halter neck dress it did seem to be the wrong type of bra for the outfit -- unless she wasn't planning to remove her coat during the evening.
"The right bra is vital to ensure an outfit fits well. For example, I would recommend a strapless bra for a bustier top, and a strapless or halter neck bra for a halter neck dress.
"Many of my customers are becoming increasingly adventurous when it comes to bras and love buying them in many different colours. Yet there are still lots of ladies who prefer to wear white.
"I think Judy Finnigan could have done with a touch more uplift and definition, or perhaps a bustier.
"Mind you, we all now know that everything she's got is definitely her own!"
