I AGREE with Mr K Sowerbutts, it is time to get tough. The legal system in this country has a lot to answer for. They are the untouchables, and, dare I say, the unjustables. The parity of so-called justice handed out is non-existent, and but for the seriousness is laughable. Our so-called leaders also philosophise in this way, which defies belief.
I am not an admirer of the Kray Brothers and never have been, they deserved their incarceration. But by today's standards they certainly had a rough deal.
This is based on the fact that we now let terrorists out of prison.
They, with the indiscriminate use of bombs and guns, have killed and maimed men, women and children.
For those that escaped during their incarceration all is forgiven. All charges will be dropped and they are free. These people have run a campaign of terror which must be equal to, or greater than, anything that the Krays were guilty of.
Where is the parity of justice? Does it have to rely on who may benefit from its verdict!
In closing, I wonder if any of our so-called leaders has actually seen a leopard change its spots?
