CHORLEY children were delighted to receive free computer equipment for their schooling.

Excited pupils from five local schools -- Euxton CE primary, St George's CE primary (who were also celebrating their school's 175th anniversary), St Laurence's CE primary, Parklands High, and St Mary's RC primary -- were presented with computers and video equipment as part of the Tesco Computers for Schools scheme, now in its eighth year.

MP Lindsay Hoyle presented the equipment at a special event held at Tesco on Ackhurst Industrial Estate, Chorley.
