SPEAKING on behalf of a number of residents of Herons Way and Dunlin Close, may I say that we are horrified to learn that gipsy caravans have once again returned to the council-owned land at the rear of Bolton Technical College on Manchester Road, Bolton.
The Council have been aware for a long time that we already have a serious parking problem on the entrance road on to our estate, caused by students and teachers from the college using it as a overflow car park. We have had numerous instances where refuse vehicles and ambulances have been unable to gain access to our houses. This commandeering of the college car park by the gipsies will undoubtedly make our situation even worse.
The inactivity on the part of the Council to do anything about the returning gipsies is inexcusable. When is somebody in authority going to act and do something about this on-going situation?
