IAN Marshall could get the deal he is looking for this week when he goes into his latest round of contract talks with Sam Allardyce.

The 34-year-old striker-cum-defender strengthened his claim for more security than his current pay-per-play arrangement with another impressive display in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Wolves.

Now, after weeks of haggling, the Reebok boss expects to reach an agreement in a matter of days.

"Hopefully it will be resolved by the middle or towards the end of the week," he said. "It's the old tit for tat business but I'm sure we can get sort it out in the end and get it finished and done with."
