TRINITY Players repeated the successful formula of presenting two short plays with refreshments in between on Saturday.
The large audiences at the matinee and evening performances proved how popular this is with audiences.
Both plays were light comedies which were well chosen and delighted the audience at the matinee performance which I attended.
Julia Walker directed and produced both offerings and set and maintained as good pace which kept the action moving and the laughs coming.
In A New Leaf John Collier as Tom and Marian Tague as his wife Mary complemented each other perfectly.
Misunderstandings abounded as Tom decided he was to turn over a new leaf and Mary decided what he was doing was turning to another woman.
Ann Flannery received a spontaneous round of applause as she lost her temper defending her reputation.
An exceptionally good set for Casta Del Packet received its own applause.
The run-down workmen's hut -- which was all there was of a Spanish hotel -- was beautifully dilapidated.
Ann Flannery made another appearance as Alice the dippy friend of Sally (Kate Martin); Lesley (Andrea Baines) and Vera (Christine Field).
All four women were on excellent form as they tried to make the best of a disastrous holiday.
Timing was very good and Field excelled as the bossy and self-elected leader of the women.
