THE search for missing Westhoughton diver Albert Paxford has again failed to locate his body.
Det Con Paxford, a detective with Greater Manchester police, disappeared while diving on a wreck off Burrow Head, near Stranraer, on the Scottish coast on October 6.
Efforts by police diving teams to look for the 40-year-old have been repeatedly hampered by bad weather.
A large-scale search involving the police, coastguard, lifeboats and Galloway and Moffat Mountain Rescue Teams was able to resume yesterday, although the lifeboats had to be recalled when conditions again took a turn for the worse.
