A terrified 13-year-old boy was forced to hand over the trousers he was wearing during a robbery in a Bolton street.

The two thieves who threatened him stole the youngster's trousers when they discovered he did not have any cash.

The boy was confronted by the thieves in Boscobel Road, Great Lever, early on Saturday.

Detectives are hunting the two thieves.

Supt Don Brown of Bolton Police, said: "They told him to hand over his money but he didn't have any. So they then forced him to drop his trousers and hand them over."

The boy gave them his pair of Le Coq Sportif trousers and the two robbers then fled. The teenager was shocked but otherwise not injured.

Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or who knows anything about it to contact their nearest police station or Crimestoppers on free phone 0800 555111.
