A send off to remember! Martin Lowther and his bride Honor Fallon with ushers Paul Curnock who took on the chicken role and Dylan Jones who decided to dress as a rabbitFANCY THAT! THE dresscode at a Bolton wedding certainly turned heads when two wacky ushers decided to surprise the guests...

Martin Lowther and his bride-to-be Honor Fallon suspected their ushers might stage some sort of joke at their wedding, but they had no idea the zany duo would dress-up as a...CHICKEN and a RABBIT!

Ushers Paul Curnock, aged 31, and 22-year-old Dylan Jones had been told they could wear what they liked to the wedding at Mere Hall, Bolton, as there was no official dress code.

So they took the couple at their word and donned fancy dress outfits for their pals' special day.

Bridegroom Martin, aged 34, who is originally from Newcastle, was astonished when confronted by his two friends who welcomed him into the hall in their colourful outfits.

Martin, who knows Paul and Dylan well -- as they are all tattooists -- said: "They are mad. Totally daft, but I had a feeling they would do something like this and it's a funny surprise."

Paul, who took on the chicken role, said: "We did ask about the dress code and there wasn't one, so we thought we would liven things up a bit.

"We were going to dress as carrots originally, but these outfits looked much better.

"They needed a send off they'd remember!"

Bride, Honor, who is from Halliwell and works as a body-piercer, was also at a loss for words after realising the ushers were dressed slightly differently to their other guests, but was just as thrilled as Martin.

The happy couple held an evening reception at La Tasca in Bolton and are now on a month's honeymoon in Thailand.
