SAM Allardyce today put his weight behind the campaign to get Terry Venables installed as the next England manager.
The FA appear to be stalling on considering Venables for the post following the resignation of Kevin Keegan last week despite widespread support for the man who led a successful Euro 96 campaign.
Allardyce is a firm believer that there is only one man for the job - and that's Venables.
"It's got to be him, no danger," claims Big Sam.
"Brian Robson tells me he is the best coach he has ever worked with.
"When he talks about him in that esteem there can be no argument from me.
"I think we have got to be careful about chosing foreign coaches. It is important to listen to the players and they want him, managers want him and everyone else wants him.
"He has done the job before during one of the most successful times. I think that the people who have concerns about him should get rid of those concerns and give him the job."
