DETECTIVES are hunting two girls who punched and robbed a teenager before stealing her earrings.

The pair struck as their 16-year-old victim was walking along North Avenue, Farnworth. They stopped her before ordering the girl to hand over her cash.

When she refused one girl punched her about the head and her accomplice grabbed her by the hair and searched her jacket.

The attackers only managed to seize earrings worth £5 and £4.26 in cash before they fled.

The girl was left shocked and distressed with bruising to her chin, a cut on her left cheek and bruising and grazing on her forehead.

The first attacker is said to be white, aged 16 or 17, 5ft 9ins tall with long blonde straight hair, tied in a pony tail.

She was wearing a red RAB jacket, dark coloured Adidas pants and brown Rockport boots.

The second attacker is also white with long brown hair and a plump face. She wore blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms and a white coat.
