FULL-TIME: Wanderers 0, Forest 0

THE goalkeepers took the honours as Wanderers and Forest fought out a goalless draw at the Reebok.

The game was littered with chances but Jussi Jaaskelainen - outstanding in the first half - and Dave Beasant - Forest's second half saviour - would not be beaten.

Wanderers survived a couple of first half scares as Forest showed why they have travelled well so far this season.

There were chances at both ends with near misses and good saves by the two keepers but the best fell to Robbie Blake who paid for a lack of composure at close range.

Ian Marshall, still without a permanent contract, lined up alongside Mark Fish at the centre of the back four and captained the side in the absence of Gudni Bergsson, who failed to recover from the injury he picked up in Saturday's victory over Wolves.

Dean Holdsworth's anticipated absence brought Michael Ricketts back into the starting line-up alongside Isaiah Rankin in a 4-4- formation which featured Robbiee Elliott in midfield for his first start of the season. Ricardo Gardner, missing from first team action since suffering knee ligament damage at Barnsley on February 26, was given a place on the subs bench.

Gardner received a standing ovation when he replaced Rankin and gave Wanderers an extra dimension but he couldn't force the breakthrough as Beasant made crucial saves from Bo Hansen, Ricketts and Gareth Farrelly while Hansen squandered the best of the chances.
