BOLTON faced Salem in their second game of the season and after an impressive win last week, another win would set them on the road for success.
Bolton came out aggressively on defense, constantly shutting down the opposing guards and smothering them, which led to steals and fast break points.
With the return of Former England Junior Richard Marshall, their confidence was high as his hustle was seen as a sign to the others to step up and play hard.
Martin Eaton came off the bench and using his domineering strength, rebounded missed shots for easy put backs and assists with Richard Seddon taking it strong inside for easy buckets. Bolton clamped down defensively with Mike Nichols, showing his determination shutting down the guards allowing them no breathing room and feeding the runners with passes leading to points on the board.
Bolton led by 13 at the half. Salem had one player scoring at will, which Bolton recognised and restricted the other options enforcing the theory that one player cannot win a game.
Ste white began to heat up from the outside as he casually drained a couple of three's including a buzzer beating shot from behind the half way line to end the third quarter.
Bolton were in top shape and with a strong bench able to keep up the pace, the team played as a well-oiled unit both on offense and defense.
Bolton's 100 to 55-point win was deserved with Ste White and Greg Sanderson leading scorers with 23 and 15 points respectively. Four others also reached double figures.
