RADCLIFFE Boro manager Kevin Glendon reacted positively to his club having to travel away to Burscough or Witton Albion in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round.
"As I said with our third round qualifying round game at Marine - it's winnable," says the Stainton Park boss.
"We went there and won 2-0 and so we have every reason to feel confident now. We certainly can't be moaning and groaning about it because we have a glorious chance to get into the first Round Proper. It's a decent draw for us and a golden opportunity. If it's Witton there'll be over a thousand on, if it's Burscough they're a good footballing side and it will be a cracking game. We're more than happy even though we have to travel away."
In the meantime there is the priority issue for Boro of the league and a trip tonight to Congleton Town. Glendon's side go into the game on the back of five consecutive victories. Congleton are next to bottom of Division One having picked up just seven points from nine league fixtures. Boro will be without Scott Wilson and Mark Dempsey faces a fitness test. The game has a 7.45pm kick off. The Burscough/Witton FA Cup replay is set for tonight after the two fought out a goalless draw on Saturday, also with a 7.45pm scheduled start. IT'S the Floodlit Trophy Round One in the North West Counties League.
Atherton Colls are at home to Skelmersdale United, Ramsbottom United away at Division One table-toppers Prescot Cables and Atherton LR travel to Clitheroe.
Alan Holmes, a pre-season signing from Skemersdale, is set to make his long-awaited LR debut after being sidelined with injury since his move.
Rovers will be without Colin Davies who has started a 35 day suspension and the injured Neil Parkinson. Striker Damien Stewart returns and Phil Edwards will play in goal.
