IS Albert Hornby so extreme in his Conservative views that he ignores any ounce of fact or is he just plain stupid?

In case it is the latter I will slowly spell out to him the facts about petrol tax. Now here goes Mr Hornby.

UK Petrol tax is the highest in Europe. However, income tax is the lowest out of any industrial nation in the world except for Japan and the USA, but in the USA they pay health insurance and we don't.

In Europe on top of income tax levels which are double that of the UK, many countries also pay tolls on their roads and we don't. Now it doesn't take Einstein to realise that if a person earns for example £1000 a month in the UK, when all the taxes are taken they will be better off than their European colleagues.

Is it no small wonder that Europe has more spent on its public services. Mr Hornby may not like to be given the facts but he had better learn them soon because he is rapidly making himself look foolish by choosing one tax and ignoring the rest.
