day has come.
That much awaited bonding will finally
be done,
and,
all because I love you, and I know
you love me,
so we'll pledge our love forever
for all the world to see.
When we emerge from the church
and,
ride in the ceremonial car.
Our friends will crowd to see us,
from near and from afar.
The ladies will use soft hankies
to wipe away their tears,
and,
the men will raise their glasses, then
toast each other, cheers.
Then later in the evening, as the venue
starts to clear,
the newly married couple escape the pomp
and cheer.
They ride into the sunset and wave their
beloved guests goodbye,
whom have formed a social gathering, some
of whom laugh and smile, and some whom cry.
But, everyone is happy and hope the lovers
will endeavour, to show the whole, wide
world,
that their love will last forever.
