Pigeon nuisance is being tackled IN response to the letter from 'Disgusted Traveller' published in your letters page on September 29, I would like to inform readers of the Bolton Evening News of the measures we are taking to ensure that the nuisance of pigeons is reduced at Bolton Moor Lane Bus Station.
At GMPTE we appreciate that pigeons are a problem at this station, and as part of the redecoration now underway, we are introducing pigeon deterrents to help improve the quality of the facilities for passengers while waiting for buses
Each of the waiting stands is being cleaned and painted, following which we are installing pigeon deterrent nets and spikes to help solve this problem. All affected stands should receive this treatment by the end of November.
Once completed we will review the effectiveness of these measures, and if necessary devise further steps to eliminate the problem.
I hope this helps to clear the problem up for your readers.
