MURDER squad detectives were still quizzing a radio DJ today after his girlfriend was found strangled.
Paul Sharpe, 30, of Wellington Road, Bury, was continuing to be interviewed by officers at Astley Bridge probing the death of Sarah Jane Widdup.
The 28-year-old single mother's father, Riley, of Garstang Avenue, Breightmet, discovered her body at her home in Deepdale Road, Breightmet, on Saturday.
Mr Sharpe, a former late-night DJ at Tower FM, was arrested on Tuesday after volunteering himself at Bury police station.
Detectives have until 6pm today to continue questioning Mr Sharpe.
Her 10-year-old son, Cody is now being cared for by members of Sarah's family.
As well as enrolling on a part-time holistic therapy course at the Manchester Road college, Sarah also helped out at a local florist's shop.
Friends and neighbours have placed up to 14 wreaths and floral tributes on the front step of Sarah's house.
