CANON Slade pupil Esther de Jong was overjoyed with her GCSE results after notching-up an incredible 10 A*s.
The 16-year-old had been secretly hoping she might gain a clean sheet of A grades, but never dreamt they would all be A stars.
She said: "I'm totally shocked and feel very shaky.
"When I phoned my parents they just started screaming and were really over the moon for me.
"My friends did very well, so we're all celebrating tonight, but I'm still in shock at the moment!''
Esther, of Ollerton Street, Eagley Bank, who also has a brainy 10-year-old sister and older brother, claims she did not revise too much.
"I worked steadily over the two years so when it came to the exams I was okay and didn't have to go mad revising," she said.
She will now study A levels at Canon Slade sixth form, but has no idea what career to pursue.
"I've picked quite a mixture of A levels -- Music, Religious Studies, Maths and one science which I've not decided on yet -- so my options are open for the future," she said.
