DID you know that if you're pet's name is Lucky then it will probably be lucky in escaping the vets?
According to pet insurance provider, Primary Direct, only two per cent of Luckys make a claim on their insurance each year.
The company has delved deep into its claims department and found that canines who aren't so canny in avoiding trouble are the Bens of this world with 24pc sustaining the most broken bones and bruises.
Dogs called Sam were closely on their heels with 17pc sure to sniff out trouble on a regular basis.
Brandys and Whiskeys also proved unstable in health and make up 12pc of all veterinary claims -- although, say Primary Direct, there's no evidence of an alcoholic link to the problem!
Over half of all pet owners find themselves making a claim each year and this figure is rising, with the percentage of claims higher for pets over the age of five which proves that pet insurance is a must.
