A NERVOUS Hannah Morris will be going through her paces today as she prepares for a gruelling television appearance tonight.

The 14-year-old Bolton singing sensation will appear in the grand final of the BBC's A Star for a Night.

The Smithills School pupil will be singing her heart out alongside other contestants, with viewers phoning in to vote for the winner.

And just 48 hours after the London date, Hannah's single I'll Be There will be released followed by her album, simply titled Hannah Morris, two days later.

Hannah, who models her singing style on her favourite pop star Celine Dion, will be up against stiff opposition when she appears tonight.

The show will be hosted by Jane McDonald who became a household name after appearing in a BBC documentary on cruise ships.

Hannah qualified for tonight's grand final after winning last year's contest.

The local girl's family will be at her side when the result is announced live on air at 9.55pm.

Dad, Peter, her mum, Janet, and sister Hayley,10, have all travelled down to London to give Hannah vital support.

Peter said: "Hannah is very, very tired with all the long nights. But she's feeling okay and has made lots of friends.

"The other contestants are all very nice and there is no ill-feeling between them. They are all in the same boat. I firmly believe that they are all winners, no matter who wins."

After tonight's show, Hannah, who was signed up by Virgin Records in February, will stay in the capital for a series of interviews including an appearence on the Gloria Hunniford Show on Channel Five on Tuesday.

The first part of tonight's show is on air from 6.55pm to 8.05pm on BBC 1. It returns for the live result at 9.55pm.
