Bolton's Hannah Morris enjoys the limelight - and her fourth place - on BBC1's Star for a Night

TEEN sensation Hannah Morris today embarked on what promises to be a glittering music career with the release of her debut album.

The Bolton schoolgirl is staying in London for a series of television appearances this week and is remaining tight-lipped over speculation that her one-album deal with Virgin Records is worth a six-figure sum.

Nevertheless industry insiders are tipping the record, simply titled 'Hannah Morris', to make a big impact in this week's charts.

Hannah is riding on the crest of a wave after touching the hearts of millions of viewers in the grand final of BBC's 'A Star for a Night' on Saturday.

The 14-year-old came an impressive fourth in the 11-strong contest and received a staggering 91,354 phone votes.

Yet despite the imminent release of her debut single, 'I'll Be There', on November 6, Hannah is already gearing up for Christmas and was due to spend time recording a festive single today.

On Saturday, the 14-year-old singing sensation wowed the audience with her rendition of Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' and proved a big hit with host Jane McDonald, along with regular panellists on the show, Barbara Windsor and ex-Take That manager, Nigel Martin-Smith.

Nigel Martin- Smith said he was staggered by how much Hannah had grown up since winning the first heat of the contest 12 months ago.

Hannah, who is a pupil at Smithills School, chatted to the celebrities after her stunning performance and described the whole experience as a "dream'', but added that she was determined to keep her feet on the ground.

Her dad Peter, mum Janet and 10-year-old sister Hayley, could all be seen in the audience cheering Hannah on.

Peter told the BEN: "It was a brilliant night. All the contestants were fantastic and lovely people.

"There were a few nerves, but I think everybody just wanted to get it over and done with.

"Hannah does have a very special gift and for a 14-year-old she has some guts.

"She deserves a real hero's welcome in Bolton. But at the moment she is exhausted. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes and she has had some very long days this week.

"We were all up until 3.30am at the after-show party, so we're all very tired today!"

Hannah, who was signed up by Virgin Records in February, will stay in London for a series of interviews including an appearance on the Gloria Hunniford Show on Channel 5 tomorrow.
