THERE was strong rumour in the East Midlands that Colin Todd, a former Derby County favourite, was lined up for a dramatic switch from Swindon to Pride Park.
Todd who won two Championships with the Rams in the 70s has only been at the County Ground since May, but with Swindon in the bottom three and having already been frustrated in efforts to strengthen his squad, Todd could be tempted by an invitation to rejoin his former club.
Pressure has been mounting on manager Jim Smith with Derby languishing at the bottom of the Premier League and Todd, who left Bolton Wanderers 12 months ago, is favourite to take over as his assistant.
