CHORLEY Harriers have handed over a cheque to Derian House for £450.
The money was partly raised through a recent Fun Run. Also member Pete Gallham did a sponsored parachute jump over Cyprus.
Members reckoned he would have raised more if he had done it without a parachute!
Martin Harrington, pictured lifting the Derian Dog, said: "We may complain about running and it's sometimes hard work, but a visit to Derian House soon makes you realise how fortunate we are.
"Our ten-mile road race next year will once again include a fun run for everyone to take part and thereby help to raise more money for this worthwhile cause."

He finished 50th overall in an excellent time of 41 minutes 23 seconds. Lee Meredith is also getting back to shape after injury finishing in 45 minutes.
Recent new recruit Bernice Greenhalgh was the first Chorley Harrier lady in 47 minutes and 16 seconds. The next inter-club race is through the villages on November 5.
