BOLTON Museum and Art Gallery is appealing for help from its visitors in digitalising part of their collection.
The team at the museum and gallery are currently trying to secure enough funding to update their website and are keen to know what Bolton people would like to view from the comfort of their own homes.
It is hoped the scheme will allow people from all over the world to access a phenomenal 17,000 images via the Internet, including a vast number of items normally stored behind the scenes. If anyone has any favourites exhibits from the Ancient Egyptian, Natural History, Social History Fine Art collections or even the aquarium that they would like to see included on the website they are urged to fill in a questionnaire at the museum, call them on 332211 or email them at museums@bolton.gov.uk
Focus groups to allow people to share their opinions will also be held on Saturday November 4 and Tuesday November 14 between 11am and 12pm.
