ARE you the type of person who used to keep scrapbooks as a child?
Well, there's one Chorley-based woman who has turned her fascination in to a thriving business opportunity.
For Jan Banner, of Blackbook Road, Heapey, is the only person in the North West to work as a consultant for Creative Memories -- a business who puts together albums and scrapbooks for people.
And now Jan is travelling the length and breadth of the borough to advertise and give demonstrations on how people can enjoy putting together their very own special book of memories.
Jan, 52, explained: "It was while I was living in Virginia, America, four years ago, that I first got in to putting together scrapbooks.
"A friend of mine worked for Creative Memories and she put me in touch with the company."
Jan is due to give a number of talks and practical demonstrations to a large number of private parties and organisations in Chorley -- including Penroe Nursing Home and a number of schools in the area.
She added: "It is something which I love to do. People can include anything they want and even add to it years on.
"Some scrapbookshave been around 90 pages in all, so there's a lot of work to do, but it ends up being very rewarding and worthwhile.
"This is something which would make an excellent Christmas present, because it's completely tailor-made and obviously very individual and personal."
If you would like to find out more, you can call Jan on Chorley 231562. EVERY picture tells a tale: Jan Banner with her latest scrapbook
