LEIGH Centurions' main shirt sponsor for next season will be local firm, Leighton Packaging, writes Mike Hulme.
Owned by lifelong Leigh fan and LISA committeeman Phil Coffey, Leighton Packaging will have their company name on the front of the Centurions' newly-designed kit for a second time in four years.
Last year's major shirt sponsors, motorcycle dealers ESB, are also sticking with the Centurions but this year their logo will feature on the shirt sleeves and shorts.
A new move for Leigh this season is that they have sold collar advertising to The Avenue pub.
Other major sponsors attracted to Hilton Park are Waterfield's Bakery and Pataks - who will soon open a new multi-millon pound spice factory and distribution centre in the town. Both will be backing Leigh's new scholarship scheme.
