UNDER-SIEGE Crystal Palace manager Alan Smith has sensationally transfer-listed three of his first team regulars ahead of tomorrow's Reebok clash.
The Eagles boss has told the trio - last season's top scorer Clinton Morrison, midfield ace Hayden Mullins and full-back Jamie Smith - he wants them to show their commitment to the club.
Speaking in graphic tones of the mounting pressure after seeing Palace lose their last six games, Smith said: "I feel like Michael Caine in the film Zulu!
"I'm standing there with a gun and 16,000 Zulus (Palace fans) are coming up the hill. I can't shoot 16,000 but three I can shoot, who are nearer me, are Clinton, Haydn and Jamie!
"I want them to show me they want to be at this football club because sometimes when I watch them on the training ground, I have great difficulty getting my head round that."
Asked if he had considered quitting, three months into his second spell as Palace manager, Smith admitted: "Of course you think about quitting because the wife and kids are in the stands listening to the abuse.
"But I'm not going to give in."
