BOLTON Hospice fundraisers intend to put a twinkle in everyone's eye by launching its annual seasonal Light Up A Life appeal.
The appeal gives people the chance to celebrate the lives of loved ones in the form of a giant Christmas tree decorated with hundreds of lights.
People are invited to dedicate a light on a giant tree in the grounds of Bolton Parish Church.
The lights will be officially switched on in a ceremony on Wednesday, December 6, at 7pm.
For a £5 donation members of the public can have a light dedicated either in memory of a loved one, or as a Christmas gift to a relative or a friend.
Certificates will be given to all those taking part, and the names of those dedicated go into a commemorative book of honour.
The tree will be illuminated throughout December until the twelfth night of Christmas.
Sarah Garland, fundraising administrator, said: "This will be one of the most meaningful events in the Hospice calendar as it will bring people together in an emotional and joyful occasion."
Forms to sponsor and dedicate a light are available from the Hospice or any of its charity shops.
