MAY I through your pages appeal for help in defending the Gale Moss site from development.
Once again this area is under threat as Chorley Borough Council proposes to redesignate the land as suitable for light industrial and office development.
It is not long since hundreds of local people rallied around to defend this area from a proposed steel processing plant.
We were able to successfully fight off that development.
Today I am appealing to those people to come forward again.
The Gale Moss Action group has reformed and we need help. Those people who worked so hard in 1998 can help again.
Please call one of these numbers and let us know if you can offer specialist skills or a willingness to give of your time for a few weeks: 01257 274440 (Audrey); 01257 263540 (Janet); 01254 831780 (Susan).
We must not let our council destroy Gale Moss.
Janet Ross-Mills
Spokesman for the Gale Moss Action Group.
