IN all honesty any manager would settle for that result. But when it was 1-1 we had a great chance to win the game and their goalkeeper has made a most fantastic save off Clinton Morrison.
Today we have shown that hard work and honesty does get you something in life and the people who can answer this are the players.
Outside influences around the training ground have affected the players recently (resulting in three of them being transfer listed last week) but when standards drop as a manager you do one of two things - you either allow it to go on, or say it is not good enough.
Clinton (one of the players listed) has gone out today and played like the player I know he is. He is the one that has pacified the supporters. He has got the equaliser, not Alan Smith, and Hayden Mullins has done the same. I played him at right back and they haven't got a cross in from the left hand side. He has played brilliantly.
We have a young squad and they are young men and some times you have to remind them of what is expected of them. I think I can make these two something exceptional.
We gave everything today as a football team but they are young lads and mentally weak at times and that resulted in the goals.
