NORTH West Disability Arts Forum are offering four workshops for disabled people keen to develop their skills in cabaret performance.
Next spring, the Forum are working with two professional artists to offer disabled people in the North-west the opportunity to unleash their creativity over two three-hour workshops which focus on comedy sketch writing and singer/song writing.
The workshops are free to disabled people living in the North-west and the only qualification is an interest in acquiring cabaret skills and a willingness to give it a go.
Workshops will be held during next March and April in Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and Lancaster at accessible venues.
It is intended that the Upfront workshops will open up other avenues for further training and lead to performance opportunities.
All workshops will be sign language interpreted and a support worker/facilitator will be available on the day.
Any disabled people interested in attending the workshops should contact Alison Jones, Project Co-ordinator at NWDAF on 0151 707 1733 or 0151 708 9355 or e-mail info@nwdaf.mersinet.co.uk
