WITH a wind of variable force 3-4 from the South with gusts from almost any direction up to force 6 and 7, the racing during the Belmont Racing Open Points Series was at times reduced to survival.
By the end of the day, the cold and wet had taken a lot of the fun out of it.
Nevertheless John King and his crew showed great form while Rob Smith demonstrated his skill as a submariner.
