LEIGH RMI's FA Cup first round clash with Millwall looks likely to go ahead on Sunday November 19.
The switch from Saturday has been requested by Greater Manchester Police because they are already fully stretched with the Manchester derby, an RL World Cup semi-final at the Reebok Stadium and Wigan Athletic's home FA Cup game.
"Nothing has yet been agreed but we have had the request from the police and hope to finalise details with Millwall as soon as possible," said secretary Alan Robinson.
Millwall's notorious following has not been an issue in the decision insisted Robinson, but Leigh may get a taste of what to expect on Saturday when Doncaster are the visitors to Hilton Park.
There will be segregation for the first time this season as the Yorkshire club's fans have the worst reputation in non-league.
Doncaster fans will use turnstiles 1-4 and be restricted to the open car park stand. Their admission fee has been increased to £10 to cover the extra cost of police and stewarding but the rest of the ground will remain at £7. The kick-off has been brought forward to 1pm.
