BOLTON singer Badly Drawn Boy has won another award to add to his growing collection.
The songwriter, real name Damon Gough, won Q magazine's Best New Act prize in a glittering ceremony presented by Big Brother host Davina McCall last night. Damon, brought up in Breightmet before moving to Belmont, won the prestigious Mercury Music Prize last month and has sold more than 100,000 copies of his debut album Hour of the Bewildberbeast.
Prize rivals Coldplay taunted him as they collected their gong for Best Album, a title he had pipped them for in the higher profile Mercury Music Prize. Singer Chris Martin challenged him to a fight and flicked V-signs at him.
