SO many adult students have achieved success in exams that for the first time the presentation ceremony will have to be moved from the Clarence Street Centre to the Festive Hall. The presentation will take place tomorrow at 2pm when Cllr Linda Thomas, education portfolio holder and Pat Dickson, chairman of the board of governors of the new Bolton Community College will make the presentations.
Another first this year will be the presentation of certificates for Adult Tutors of the Year.
One of those getting an award, Joyce Read , said: "We were absolutely flabbergasted when we heard we had won these awards, our students didn't tell us that they were putting us forward. The first we knew was when we were told that our certificates had arrived."
Karen Royle, head of service, said: "It is very gratifying that Community Education Service tutors have been recognised in this way."
