ON Saturday, October 21, and Friday, October 27, the so-called hourly 9.55pm 507 bus service did not run. I understand that on Saturday a notice was displayed at Moor Lane, stating that due to operating difficulties the service was not available.
What use is this notice, when I catch a bus between Harwood and Bradshaw?
The Careline Centre received an irate complaint from me on their answerphone, to which I haven't had a reply.
Last year I had a letter published in the BEN on this subject, which prompted a reply from Susan Bennett, Depot Manager, and since then I have used Careline, but in their replies they do not give specific reasons for non-arrival of buses.
Does "operating difficulties" mean no driver? Because, if this is true, drivers have told me that when their back pay from April is paid in November, a lot more drivers will be leaving.
