TWO Chorley youngsters got on their bikes for charity.
Dedicated fund-raisers Kelly Wilson and her friend Jenna Holland (pictured left), both 12, braved the cold for their sponsored cycle around Charnock Richard during half-term.
The sporting pair raised £160 for Children in Need by cycling 10 laps of a circuit along Leeson Avenue, down Chorley Lane, along Charter Lane and back home via Church Lane.
They even donned T-shirts which Jenna had made specially for the event. Kelly's mum Annette Wilson said: "I can't believe the stamina they have. I think everybody who has sponsored them thinks it's brilliant."
Jenna briefly broke off her ride to say: "The idea was on the pack we received from Children in Need. We usually do a stall."
Kelly added: "We do something every year for charity." And despite the cold, she laughed: "I have taken my jumper off -- I'm boiling!"
Last year the duo raised £30 for charity by holding a table top sale outside Jenna's house on Leeson Avenue. ON yer bike: Kelly and Jenna
