Manager: Trevor Francis
Ground: St Andrew's
Last Game: Portsmouth 1 Birmingham 1
How They Lined Up: Bennett; Eaden, Grainger, Purse, Holdsworth, Cipriano, O'Connor, Gill, M Johnson, A Johnson, Sonner.
Last Season: Bolton 3 Birmingham 3; Birmingham 2 Bolton 1
Last Year's Top Scorer: Dele Adebola
Key Man: Dele Adebola. Transfer-listed after a poor season last year but he's responded in exactly the right way. Looks dangerous everytime he gets the ball and is the Blues top scorer with 5 goals. Notched two against Spurs on Wednesday and scored an important equaliser after coming on as a sub at Portsmouth.
This Season So Far: The Blues started shakily, losing their first home game 3-1. However, it was against Fulham so they can be forgiven. Since then they've been unbeatable at St Andrew's, playing Barnsley off the park in a 4-0 win and beating a bemused Stockport by the same score. The only other league defeat was against Graham Taylor's Watford and that too can be excused, considering the Londoner's position at the top of the table.
In the Worthington Cup they are in the fourth round after beating a strong Spurs side 3-1 at St Andrews on Wednesday. Those in the know say that if Birmingham score early they go on to win.
Next, After Wanderers: Norwich (A), Grimsby (A), Barnsley (H), Huddersfield (H)
