FOLLOWING a crackdown on television licence evasion in the Bolton, Horwich, Westhoughton, Farnworth and Little Lever areas a special court was held by Bolton Magistrates.

It dealt with more than 80 people who had not bought a television licence.

Those without an up-to-date licence were fined and ordered to pay court costs and they must also buy a television licence.

Some cases were withdrawn (W/D) and others were adjourned (A) until a later date.
