OLYMPIC swimmer Anthony Holden was named BEN Sports Personality of the Year last night.
And there was a golden welcome for the Bolton swim star as he was presented with the award by Olympic cycling champion Jason Queally.
Gold medal winner Jason was the guest of honour at the Festival Hall as the BEN and Bolton Forum for Sport paid tribute to the town's sportsmen and women. Horwich Harriers modern pentathlon squad were the BEN's Team of the Year while Rob Hodgkiss, who underwent a heart transplant and then went on to win four gold and three silver medals at the Transplant Games received the Special Achievement Award.
