TRACY Gerrard's wedding provided the inspiration for a successful business idea.
Shortly after returning from honeymoon she was made redundant from her sales job with a Manchester company.
Faced with the need to do something else, Tracy remembered that she had hired her head-dress for the wedding and decided to "have a go" in the same field.
She went to Floristry College in Newton-le-Willows for two years before establishing her business,"All Occasions", at her home in St Helens Road, Bolton.
Tracy, aged 29, was helped along the way by the prestigious Young Entrepreneur Programme administered by Bolton Enterprise Services.
She has now expanded by opening a shop on Smethurst Lane, Bolton, which features her core business of designing hand-made tiaras and headdresses.
She also deals with fresh/silk flowers and jewellery for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions including Christmas and New Year.
Tracy, who went to George Tomlinson School, Kearsley, plans to expand countrywide through the development of her web-site, advertising in national publications and attendance at shows.
"I certainly won't have time to be bored," she said. "I never imagined I would be doing anything like this."
